ACO Support Assistant

1. Assist in workflow design that promotes compliance to ACO standards and clinical quality metrics.
2. Provide monthly reports to practice to assist with quality metric performance that will maximize shared savings opportunities.
3. Performs both internal and external audits for Medicare, Aetna, BCBS payers. Communicates gaps in quality metrics to providers and ACO management on a monthly basis.
4. Update physician rosters for the ACO, and upload and update physician lists in the CMS system.
5. Travel to assigned ACO offices to ensure compliance with ACO policies and procedures as directed by ACO management.
6. Work with management and care coordinators to utilize ACO software to create and report on ACO outcome measures such as ER, inpatient and place of service usage.
7. Audit medical records to ensure documentation conforms to CMS standards for inclusion and exclusionary clinical guidelines.
8. Assists ACO Executive Director with financial management of the organization, including signing checks and meetings with accountants.
9. Working Conditions: Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs., pushes and pulls a minimum of 10 lbs. and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
1. Bachelors degree or relevant years in healthcare, medical insurance billing, auditing or related field. 2-3 years of experience in a medical office or similar setting preferred.
2. Excellent analytical skills.
3. Good reasoning and problem solving ability.
4. Highly developed interpersonal skills.
5. Proficient at multi-tasking and prioritization.
6. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
7. Highly organized.
8. Good presentation skills.
9. Demonstrated proficiency with PC and Microsoft office skills. Ability to learn and become proficient in ACO electronic medical records and ACO software applications.
