About The Nueva School

The Nueva School, an internationally recognized, nonprofit, independent day school, has served gifted and talented students since 1967. Today, Nueva serves over 850 students PK–12. The school occupies two campuses in the adjacent towns of Hillsborough and San Mateo, equidistant between San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

Responsibilities

A key member of the Institutional Advancement team focused on supporting key programs including the Nueva Fund, auction, campaign, alumni relations, and other programs and events as needed.

Information management and reporting:

Maintain Raiser’s Edge Database – record all donations, maintain check log, manage online gifts, and produce corresponding acknowledgment letters.
Manage advancement office/donor file system.
Generate weekly and monthly financial reports in Raiser’s Edge.
Liaison with Business Office to reconcile all gift accounts.
Generate and send reminders for outstanding pledges and receivables.
Update and research constituent profile information to ensure data integrity.
Perform database queries for analysis, mailings, and events.
Manage matching funds from donors’ employers and related foundations.
Nueva Fund:

Help with preparing all Nueva Fund materials including for the call night binder.
Help generate required communications with donors and solicitors.
Help mail all solicitation materials connected to the Nueva Fund.
Auction:

Assist with planning, preparing, and managing all auction related materials and functions including invitations, tickets and ticket sales, donation items, event management, vendor communications, and the creation and distribution of the auction catalog in electronic and hard copy formats.
Manage solicitation letters to past and future business donors in the area.
Manage auction data and presentation via Greater Giving, Bidding for Good, and/or comparable auction management software systems.
Campaign:

Assist with planning, preparing, and managing all campaign related materials and functions.
Assist with managing campaign data in Raiser’s Edge and reconciliation with development and business office.


Perform other duties as assigned





Qualifications

High degree of proficiency with Raiser’s Edge and/or other CRM/Donor databases.
Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel and Word.
Exceptional organization skills.
Excellent phone and in-person etiquette in dealing with constituents and donors to the school.
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Basic accounting skills, or willingness to learn them.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Self-starter able to work independently.
Ability to multi-task in a team-oriented, collaborative, multicultural environment;
Ability to plan and follow through on tasks and meet deadlines
Strong team player and active collaborator.
Interest in and understanding of education broadly and independent school, college, and nonprofit environments specifically preferred.


Additional Details

This is a full-time, year-round position. Compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.
